The shuttle bus from Ross’ Independent is now running to quickly wisk you and your family to the midway and main stages located at Clarke Fields. There are lots of rides and games for the kids, and some great entertainment happening all day long on multiple stages.

You’ll find all of your favorite midway rides and games, and even be able to score a very nice hat to help fend off the sun (see photo below – the hats were a great bargain at only $10 each). The food selection was somewhat healthier than it was last year, but hey – it’s a fair, you’re there to have fun and indulge. For those needing to cool off on a budget, Ross’ Independent had a bike going around handing out free freezies.
Concert Stage Headline Act – Alter Ego
Returning this year is the headline act ALTER EGO who will be taking to the main stage shortly after 8pm. This is one of their promotional videos, they seem like a really fun band to watch on a warm summer evening.
So come on down and dress for the weather – it’s hot today! Fireworks are scheduled for 10PM, but bear in mind that environment Canada is calling for showers and possible thundershowers this evening, so make sure to stay safe should foul weather materialize.
Happy Canada Day Barrhaven!
