Steve Desroches seeking Conservative party nomination for the riding of Nepean
|It’s official – Steve Desroches is returning to the political arena by seeking the Conservative party nomination in the riding of Nepean.
This is great news for residents of Barrhaven. Steve has deep roots in the community and is well known for his volunteer work and rock-solid support of Canadian veterans. His experience includes 2 well-reviewed terms on city council, where he proved instrumental in the completion of Barrhaven’s best-known landmark, the Vimy memorial bridge. Steve is also a founding member of the Barrhaven Legion.
Steve has also proven to the community that he is a man of his word by keeping his promise to taxpayers to only serve two terms on City Council. Being a father to four children, he understands the challenges that middle-class families face and the importance of ensuring that tax dollars are spent in a responsible manner.
Steve Desroches has also served Canadians in the federal public service in a number of departments and agencies including offices located in Nepean. Should he succeed in getting elected at the Federal level, his existing relationships with both Jan Harder and Lisa MacLeod could prove instrumental in moving the Barrhaven LRT file forward.
