2023 Barrhaven Canada Day Celebrations

Canada Day is a time-honored celebration that brings communities together in the spirit of national pride and unity. In Barrhaven, residents eagerly anticipate the annual Canada Day festivities. With a rich tapestry of cultural diversity, warm community spirit, and engaging activities, Barrhaven’s Canada Day celebrations have become a cherished tradition for locals and visitors alike.

Barrhaven’s Canada Day celebrations encapsulate the essence of Canadian heritage and culture. The festivities offer a variety of engaging events and attractions that showcase the community’s rich history and diverse traditions.

• The celebration kicks off at 8:30am with the Senior’s And Family Breakfast.
• This will be followed by the opening of the Robertson Amusements Midway, which is always a big hit with the kids! Speaking of children, the Kidz Zone Activity Area, Kidz Zone Stage and Kidz Zone Crafts will be open between 11:00am and 4:00pm. We should note that the midway will be open from Thursday June 29th until Sunday July 2nd.
• Cultural Exhibitions are a big part of the Canada Day celebrations. Barrhaven proudly embraces its multiculturalism, and Canada Day provides an ideal platform to celebrate and showcase the diverse backgrounds of its residents. Cultural exhibitions can be enjoyed at the Multicultural Stage Show and throughout the event grounds.
• The event will also feature a vendor village where you can purchase local arts, crafts and various other products.
• Hungry? No worries. The Barrhaven Canada Day festivities will also feature many local food vendors serving up traditional fair favorites!
• Also, new this year is a Country Music Night on June 30th and a Classic Car Show on July 2nd.

For easy parking, a shuttle bus service will be operating between McDonough’s Independent And Heart & Crown To Clarke Fields.

While a portion of the funding comes from generous local sponsors, organizers are still very much dependent on direct community support.
