Just in time for summer – Menchie’s comes to Barrhaven

Talk about perfect timing. With the mercury soaring to well above thirty today, Menchie’s frozen yogurt and sorbet has opened their long awaited Barrhaven location. Upon hearing the news, the Barrhaven Blog immediately dispatched it’s team of dedicated reporters to the new location in the name of research. And we really liked what we found.  The establishment is very much a self-serve experience, where you first choose from a wide selection of frozen yogurts and sorbet flavors which are served in either a cup or waffle cone. Kudos for offering low fat and sugar free options for those seeking a healthy treat on a warm summer day.

The next step is choosing your toppings. Menchie’s offers so much variety here that it’s hard to mention them all. There are both healthy (and somewhat less healthy) toppings to choose from. So you can choose to keep the calorie count down, or treat yourself to a nice sugary indulgence if that’s what you’re seeking. If variety is the spice of life, then Menchie’s has you covered.

And finally, for the ‘coup de grace’ you get to garnish your frozen masterpiece with both a selection of fresh fruit and yummy sauces.

Menchie’s is a great place to take the kids for a healthier frozen treat this summer. It’s a great addition to the Barrhaven retail landscape, and one that’s sure to be a hit with both adults and children alike. Just be aware that you pay by weight here, so don’t go too crazy with your creations! One quick note about the staff. They were very friendly, helpful and super enthusiastic about working for Menchie’s.
