A beautiful rural vineyard and winery – and it’s only 30 minutes from Barrhaven!

Looking for a fun afternoon activity this weekend? Have we got a treat for you! How does a guided tour of a local vineyard and winery sound? Not only will you get to sample some great local wines, you’ll also be able to pair them with locally grown produce and meats. Everything from fresh beef, lamb, elk and trout to fresh vegetables. It’s all here for you to enjoy at Jabulani Vineyard and Winery in Richmond Ontario.

The winery patio and store is open on fridays, saturdays and sundays from 11am until 6pm. The last tasting takes place at 5pm each day. Guided tours are also available for those interested in learning about the incredible journey that culminated with the opening of this wonderful winery. The tour last 1.5 hours and reservations are required. The cost of the tour is $15 per person and takes place on fridays and saturdays at 1pm and 4pm.

Whether you intend to participate in a guided tour, or simply enjoy the view of the vineyard from their beautiful patio, a visit to Jabulani Winery is a great way to spend a nice summer afternoon.

How to get there

Jabulani Winery is very easy to find. Simply head west on Fallowfield Road until you reach Dwyer Hill Road. Turn left and continue on until you reach Jock Trail Road. Turn left on Jock Trail Road and the winery will be just a few kilometers up the road. Very easy to find, and only a 30 minute drive from Barrhaven along beautiful country roads.

Can you purchase wines at the winery?

Yes you can! There is a store on site where you can purchase products produced at the winery. We have tried two of their wines, a white infused with local berries, and a red. Both were quite good. The berry infused white is a particularly nice treat on a warm sunny day.
