A great grocer and friend of the community

Today’s business kudo goes to Ross’ Independent Grocer. I’m not going to waste to many electrons describing all the great things this retailer brings to Barrhaven. The generosity they have shown to the community over the years speaks for itself. But what I do want to blog about today is the great staff that works at Ross’.

Let’s start with the bakery. This is where I always turn to when I need a cake for a special occasion. Their product is always fresh and very well presented, but what really makes the difference is how the bakery staff always goes the extra mile in making sure that your cake is decorated just right. They pay attention to every little detail – they are in a word, meticulous. My second kudo goes to the pharmacy staff. I injured my hand in a biking accident today and the pharmacist  left her post behind the counter to help me find the right products to help treat my wound. It’s those little touches that keep me coming back.

I should also mention how pleasant it is to see so many young employees working in the store. It’s important to provide good employment opportunities for our youth, and in that respect Ross’ Independent is a model employer.
