Volunteers required for Barrhaven seniors transportation program

The Western Ottawa Community Resource Centre is looking for volunteers from the Barrhaven area. They are a non-profit charitable organization that offers a vast array of community, health and social services to individuals of all ages in the West Ottawa community. One of their fastest expanding programs has been their Transportation Program, where they provide local seniors and adults living with physical disabilities with transportation to medical appointments.

Unfortunately the number of requests for the service have quickly outnumbered their volunteer capacity, especially in the Barrhaven area. As such, they are in great need of volunteer drivers from our community.

They will be hosting a volunteer recruitment information session on May 28th.  This is a great opportunity for any Barrhaven community members looking to do volunteer work. All the details are listed on the pamphlet below.
